As a mother, I am just mostly at home. I am always with my child. To avoid boredom, I often go online to catch up on things. One website I regularly visit is Facebook. I love Facebooking. I can’t let a day pass without opening my Facebook account.
There are several reasons why I love Facebook. First, I get to catch up with friends and loved ones for free. I can use the chat feature or I send instant messages to them. I consider it hassle-free, as long as you have an internet connection, you’ll be fine.
Second, I locate and communicate with my long lost classmates, teachers or colleagues. I just type their names on the search engine. Just make sure that the person you are looking for is the same person in the profile you find. There are some people who make Facebook accounts using other people’s personal information.
Third, I can post anything that I want like status updates, pictures, videos, links I want to share to friends, and many more. Status updates are the things you are doing at the moment. As far as I know, there is no quota in posting pictures and videos in Facebook. Links are helpful because you can share all the websites you find interesting to your Facebook friends.
Fourth, I am allowed to become a child again. I loved playing Farmtown, Farmville, and Restaurant City. There are so many applications you can choose from. Many people have relatives abroad. That includes me. My mom is currently residing in a different country and the only way we get in touch with each other is through chatting. I’m afraid I have to say that phone calls to another country bring too much hassle. The problem is that it’s too costly and expensive. It is truly a pain in the pocket if you desire long time talks like me. I would have to admit that it severely drained my budget just to get in touch with my mom.
One lucky day, I found an alternative. My friend informed me that calling is possible using messengers like Skype and Yahoo! That was music to my ears because I know I wouldn’t be spending a lot to reach my mom. I gave it a try and I was amazed on how similar it is to talk using messengers with that of phone calls.
